WHAT THE MINUTES SAY

分针之语

1．We are but minutes—little things!

Each one furnished with sixty wings,

With which we fly on our unseen track,

And not a minute ever comes back.

2．We are but minutes; use us well,

For how we are used we must one day tell.

Who uses minutes, has hours to use;

Who loses minutes, whole years must lose.

1．我们不过是分钟而已——微不足道！

每一分钟都配有六十个羽翼，

我们以此隐形翅膀，沿着看不见的轨道飞翔，

没有一分钟曾经逆转。

2．我们只不过是分钟而已，充分利用我们吧，

我们必须告知世人如何加以利用。

那些充分利用每分钟的人，总有许多小时可用；

那些让失去分钟的人，可能会让一整年溜走。
